Points from meeting held in NSW 11th August 2004


17 people in attendance, with 2 from SA, 3 from Victoria and the remaing 12 people from NSW.

Minutes accepted from last meeting.

Treasurer's report read out and and payments passed.

Secretary's report, strategic plan completed and will now be the working guide for Nulca. We are still waiting on the lawyer to complete final draft of constituion.

Nulca will form a board , will shall be the governing body overseeing this important early stage of development.

Newsletter to be available to all members, on line and by mail for the initial one.

Working parties to be set up to gather information for standards.

Mick Winterton (president) went to USA and attendered Underground Focus Live expo in Manteno IL.

On display was all forms of vacuum excavations equipment in a variety of forms.

A large contingent of One Call Centres and Electronic Locators were also in attendance.

A number of demonstrations were taking place by a number of exhibitors fdisplaying the latest technology on offer.

Mick also met with a number of NULCA USA Board members and CGA Board members.

The latest versions of Ground Penetrating Radar were also being displayed by a number of suppliers.

The latest Electronic Locators were also on display, along with One Call Centres and Software developers for One Call Centres as well as government departments.

Mick also had discussions with Ron Rosencrans who is the editor of Underground Focus Magazine.

Mick after his trip to the states, also met with the Managers for Dial before you Dig, to keep them up to date with Nulca's progress.

Working Parties have been formed, and these shall be listed separately with contacts names and numbers.
