JB Hunter Technology have been appointed the offical training organisation to develop competency based training for Nulca Locating Members.

The course shall be completed by the end of December.   It is anticipated the first training sessions will  be run in February 2007 nationally. 

What we envisage is that sometime in the near future, utilites will endorse Nulca Association by recommending these members who have undergone the training, hold insurances, work cover, OH & S & completed any other industry training, ie Telstra accredation.  This will weed out the cowboys in the industry.

The discussion which have been held with utilites are all heading in this direction, they see Nulca as the way forward for the locating industry.
