Brisbane Meeting Cancelation

Due to the unavailability and personal workload of some committee members it was decided at the Adelaide meeting on the 22th February, 2012 and posted in the minutes on the 24th March, 2012 to cancel the Brisbane meeting advertised in the minutes of the Melbourne meeting held on the 22th November, 2020.
If any interstate members have made arrangements to attend Brisbane at this time for the meeting or if any local members would still like to meet, I will be available to arrange a meeting in the area to suit.
It is my responsibility to make sure members are advised of any meeting or cancelation, therefore the offer.
The next advertised meeting to take place will be in Sydney on Friday 20th May, 2012 followed by the AGM to be held on the Gold Coast on the 29TH July, 2012 not the 30th as previously advertised.

On another note, the first committee meeting with Standards Australia has been held on the “AUSTRALIAN STANDARD FOR UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATION AND MAPPING” which NULCA have a seat. We should be able to issue a statement soon on the progress of that meeting.

I also would like to inform members of their obligations regarding tracing electrical assets and the requirements of all energy suppliers. Please be advised it is recommended you have authorisation by your local supplier to access their asset(trace) and also adhere to the Electrical Regulations regarding No Go Zones or undertaking work regarding safe distance.
This is something we now would like all companies/entities to investigate after being made aware of ourselves.
